My name is Artemis, and I am a Turkish Van/ white with orange DSH mix who was born in October 2015. Because I'm mostly white with splashes of orange on my ears, back, and tail, I am considered a Turkish Van mix. In fact, the smallest dot on my back is supposed to be the thumbprint of God! Oh, and my big green eyes are very mesmerizing. I am a sweet girl who ended up at a shelter with my sister Athena because we were found as strays as very small kittens. Luckily Buster's Friends saved us just in the nick of time. Yikes! I don't even like to think about what happens to kitties at kill shelters when they have outstayed their time limit. I am ... (Read More)an angel-faced, very laid-back kitty who doesn't need much -- just give me food, water, and lots of love. Oh, and maybe a toy and treat every so often as well. I get along with cats as well as dogs, and I just love people! Don't you want a perfect kitty? Think about me because I can make your family complete. Since I am bonded to my sister Athena and since we really do love each other, think of adopting both of us if you want a sweet duo! Two are better than one, you know, but we can be adopted together or separately. Anyway, we are the best girls you could find. Artemis is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Artemis, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her. To make the process more efficient, download the adoption application at http://www.bustersfriends.org/catadoptionapplication.shtml. First save and then open it; then you can print it and fill it out. (Less)

Turkish Van Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Well, hello! They call me Boogie Girl, and I'm a 15-pound hunk of love! I'm also a sweet, calm dilute calico Turkish Van/ domestic short hair mix who was born about January 2011. I'm mostly white with gray and honey markings on my face mask, ears, and tail. I love to be petted and especially to be scratched right at the base of my tail! Boy, howdy, does my foster mom know what sends me into a swoon of ecstasy! I like to accompany my foster mom when she's lying in bed reading mystery novels. Just in case she's scared, I reassure her by resting my head and front paws on her tummy! Things were not always so tranquil for me. I was happily ... (Read More)adopted as a kitten from Buster's Friends but somehow ended up at a kill shelter. Man, oh man, those barking dogs stressed me out -- not to mention my being uprooted from what I thought was my forever home. No worries as I have now adjusted to the sights and sounds of my foster home. As much as I like it here, I realize that it's just a temporary stopping-off place for me as my foster mom is trying to find me a LIFETIME home this time around. Since I'm no longer a kitten like before, my foster mom thinks it best that I be adopted into a family without children, or with older children or, at least, gentle children. Could you be that special someone who is looking for a kitty to cuddle with you and to palpate your tummy ever so quietly? Then, I'm your girl! Boogie Girl is updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, FIV/ FeLV negative, and ready for her indoor-only home. No de-clawing permitted. Her adoption fee is $100, cash or check payable to Buster's Friends. Please click the contact button if you are interested in Boogie Girl, and we can let you know exactly where you can meet her. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-06-00244Sprout (Little Kitty) (female)

Turkish Van Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We found Little Kitty as a kitten. She is a very pretty cat and she knows it. She loves to be brushed and scratched. I think she will have a tough transition, but once settled in, will be a great companion for someone who has no small children or other pets. She's not dangerous, she just doesn't like them and hides. She lives with 2 other cats now and it's fine, but its evident she'd definitely prefer to be the only one. Our kids chase her around and pull her tail etc. Not ideal. We are expecting our 3rd child in Aug. and my mother is going to be needing to spend more time at the house. She is severely allergic. She takes meds but it ... (Read More)doesn't help. Its so bad her face swells up and she can't see. B/c of this LK has been spending a lot of time outdoors which isn't ideal b/c there are coyotes. We can hear them howling at night and we're scared for her. Please let me know if you or anyone you know would be interested in adopting LK. (Less)
