Turkish Vans are smart and curious. Vans like to be with people. This breed has boundless energy and enthusiasm. Vans like to play hard and many like to play fetch.

    The Turkish Van is well adapted to temperature extremes, with a very long, thick coat and mane during winter that sheds leaving only a short coat in the summer. Turkish Vans were first brought to Europe by soldiers returning from the Crusades. The most traditional coloring for a Turkish Van is red and white.
